On September 28, 2008 TEAM RITA participated in the 3rd Annual Have A Chance Walk To Fight Brain Tumors. TEAM RITA was formed 1st in honor of, and now in memory of Rita McGuire, my wife who passed away from a brain tumor in August 2006. It was another successful year, donations are still being tallied, but as a team we raised approximately $15,000.00. Have A Chance and the Brain Tumor Society use Walk proceeds to help families manage the high cost of fighting brain tumors and to fund cutting-edge research to find a cure.

Even the rain that day could not keep our team members away, this year our team consisted of 31 members...all adorned with "you'll never walk alone" on their shirts. As we passed the finish line chants of RITA, RITA, RITA were heard from the other walkers...a fitting tribute.
